BULLETS OVER BROADWAY
Reviewed August 29th, 1999 by Staff

Disney’s release of Bullets Over Broadway, by the title alone screams 40 and over. The movie was directed by Woody Allen and starred John Cusak. Placed in the depression-era with big mobsters and how a play script becomes a production. Everywhere on the DVD it boasts the comedy aspects, however younger generations might have trouble even getting the humor. Some of the situations were laughable, but most the dialogue was not. This was also a bare bones DVD.

The video while sometimes acceptable was on the whole deplorable, ranking just slightly better then VHS! The video transfer is presented in widescreen in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is not 16x9 enhanced.

The audio is presented in DD 2.0, otherwise known as Dolby Prologic. The audio is not that much better then VHS and almost has no surrounds and no LFE track.

The features, well there are none! Overall this movie might be a hit for the 40+ crowd, but most from the younger generations will find this movie boring and not worth the investment. The DVD and the movie was a disappointment from the start, however, Woody Allen fans seem to enjoy it.
