Story: The Vice-President is dead. President Jackson Evans has to appoint a new Vice-President and his choice is Senator Laine Hanson. But there is a dark secret in Laine's past. Senator Runyon has learned the secret and now he must discredit Sen. Hanson through any means possible so that his choice, Jack Hathaway, will be nominated. What follows is a contest of wills between Runyon, Hanson, and Jackson in the years most exciting political thriller.
